The Ceylon Fisheries Corporation (CFC) received the large scale service Provider award for its outstanding performance during the lat Kovid-19 epidemic at the SLIM Restart award Ceremony held ot the BMICH on 22.01.2021 

The service was appreciated by all, including the Chairman and the Managing Director of the CFC, the Executive officers and all the Employees who worked without pay and privilages despite the risky. circumstances and working in very low facilities, to win the award 

"Receiving this award will undoubtedly turn a Golden chapter in the history of the CFC ...

With the blessings of the Hon Minister & Hon State Minister , the Present Chairman , Mr Keerthi Munasinghe , Mr NRC de Silwa , Managing Director attended to the meeting .
All CFC staff were educated about the benefits of having the Centralized Purchasing System .in which the Manager – In charge may have to directly deal with the Fisherman or boat owner so that price margins or intermediate commissions are not added to the final purchasing price enabling CFC could receive the reasonable lowest price resulting our selling prices though outlets also to be the lowest or fairest while benefiting the fisherfolk & customer at the very same time .
In this exercise , CFC can utilize their manpower effectively & efficiently since we may use all the landing sites in the island immediately resulting all available fish in Sri Lankan waters are available in over 1OO CEYFISH stalls scattered in the country .
